"The United Veterans Committee of Colorado (UVC) is pleased with the ongoing process of the new VA hospital construction on the Fitzsimons campus, Aurora. Joint Venture contractor, Kiewit-Turner has proactively opened the lines of communication with UVC through quarterly meetings on site and keeping the veteran community apprised of project progress. Veteran participation on the project has exceeded the congressional mandates. One example of a service-disabled veteran success is Jim Hurley of JE Hurley. Jim recently won the U.S. Small Business Administration Small Business Person of the Year for Colorado. UVC looks forward to maintaining this positive relationship with Kiewit-Turner, and further success for the veterans of Colorado and the Western Region."
